Job Description/Responsibilities

the .NET Developer will be part of the Development Team will be providing production application support and work on enhancements to existing applications, reports and new development when needed. This candidate will work with manager and other team members to understand requirements and develop application solutions aligned with those requirements. Be an active participant of a team of .NET developers working toward a common goal supporting independent timelines.

Essential Job Functions – Technology, Computer, Software Systems (IT):

• Willing to take initiative, bring new ideas and fresh views on improving existing product
• Proven ability to solve real world problems using efficient and well-written algorithms
• Able to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, thoughts and opinions during requirements and design sessions with the development team
• Experience working beyond frameworks to create frameworks and understand software patterns
• Interests and abilities must extend beyond writing boilerplate code or user interfaces
• Willing to learn quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities is essential
• Must pay attention to details and consider all possibilities before acting
• Code, test, debug, implement changes to data-driven apps and libraries and support complex applications
• Analyze, debug and resolve production issues related including but not limited to application performance, system latency, and infrastructure and network products
• Provide development production support along with other team members
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions
• Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
• Work with Product Managers to create feature specifications and estimate timelines
• Add robust features and evolve existing products

Job Qualifications/Skills

Ideal the .NET Developer will have 5 years minimum experience in the below:

• C#
• ASP.Net (Web forms preferred)
• Javascript/HTML5
• Jquery
• Bootstrap
• Microsoft SQL (MSS preferred) – including stored procedures, transact SQL, etc.
• JSON objects and Asynchronous Java Scripts and XML (AJAX)
• Visual Studio
• XHTML, XML
• SQL Server development (T-SQL, Stored Procedures)
• Web Services
• Report writing in SSRS

Additional Information

Behavioral Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes and accounting are a plus
• Excellent communication and organization skills are required
• Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates
• Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously and prioritize while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance or Engineering discipline would be a plus
